2. Carter-Ryan Gallery and Live Theatre

Experience the unique synergy of visual arts and live theatre at Carter-Ryan Gallery. 3. Avens Gallery

4. Canmore Museum and Geoscience Centre

Delve into the history and culture of Canmore at the Canmore Museum. The Canmore Museum hosts events and programs at the North Western Mounted Police (NWMP) Barracks.

5. Art Country Canada

Canmore Winter Carnival Art Walk: 

Held during the Winter Carnival, this art walk transforms the streets into an open-air gallery. Stroll through displays of winter-themed art created by local talents, adding a creative touch to the town’s winter festivities.

Canmore Mountain Market

Located at Elevation Place, this market showcases the works of local artisans and crafters, offering a unique opportunity to purchase handmade goods and support the thriving creative community in Canmore.  Locally and regionally produced fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, jams and baked goods are available. The market operates every Thursday from May to October.   

Canmore Festival of Art and Creativity 

This fun event brings together artists, musicians, and multicultural performers for a full weekend celebration of creativity. Visitors can enjoy live performances, interactive art installations, and participate in workshops, creating an immersive experience for art enthusiasts of all ages. The event is hosted by artsPlace every September, to celebrate Alberta Culture Days.

Canmore Folk Fest: 

Alberta’s longest running folk festival is held in Canmore every  summer with an impressive lineup of artists, While primarily a music festival, the Canmore Folk  Festival often incorporates visual arts elements. The festival grounds feature art installations, and attendees can explore a vibrant artisan market showcasing handmade crafts.
